    129 Van Norden St, Washington

Your host Mary Havens Cooper welcomes you:

Located one block from the Pamlico River and steeped in family history, this beautiful 1902 Victorian home provides gracious accommodations in historic downtown Washington. Mary Havens is the great-granddaughter of the home's builders, Frank Adams and Mary Bonner Moss. "The Original Washington" was the first town in America named for General George Washington and has all the attributes of a graceful southern town. People are friendly and the climate is nothing short of inviting. A two-block walk leads to shops, the sailboat marina, a variety of restaurants, and a wonderful café for coffee and dessert. The Moss House is also at the starting point of the city's self-guided historic walking tour.
