Early advance reservations are recommended to help ensure
confirmed accommodations, especially in the summer and fall seasons. Bar
Harbor, however, has many accommodations available, and last-minute
reservations can almost always be accommodated. Browse through the listings
to locate the lodgings that meet your rate, location, and amenity needs;
then discuss their reservation policy with them. It is often necessary to
guarantee a reservation with a deposit or credit card.
Rates vary greatly according to the type of
accommodation, the season, and other considerations. Many establishments
have a range of rates, and the only way to know for sure what rate you
will be asked to pay is by contacting the establishment and discussing
your lodging needs. Be sure to accurately indicate the total number in
your party, including the children, and the number of days you expect
to be on the island.
